In Association with
The 1st International Conference on Natural Disaster: Risk Analysis, Management and Mitigation is focused on addressing the problems of natural disasters, such as, earthquakes, landslides, floods, etc., which are increasing day by day and becoming a severe threat to human civilization. The north-east region of India is seismically vulnerable and prone to such natural hazards, which need the attention of engineers. The problems related to earthquakes and landslides are quite common since most of the region is hilly. At the same time, flood-induced disaster is also a major problem in valley areas of the same region. Moreover, Natech (natural hazard triggering technological accidents) events also pose a threat to the human habitat as there may be hazardous contaminations from industries affected due to natural disasters. It is from this perspective that an attempt is made to disseminate the knowledge of researchers and practicing engineers to a greater audience through this conference, with an aim to build a disaster-resilient society.
